Founded in 1914 by three brothers; Alfieri, Ettore, and Ernesto Maserati, and it is a brand known for status, style and class. But, the original purpose for the business was to manufacture spark plugs, a far cry from the machines we see on the roads today.
Fast forward a few decades and the company is owned by Fiat, another Italian car company, and that has been the case since 1993.
